Lindsay Lohan opened a Club LOHAN in Greece which has a VVIP section

Last week, I read a story about how Lindsay Lohan was “opening a nightclub.” My first thought was “that poor nightclub.” As it turns out, the story was for real: Lindsay has a (shady) new Greek boyfriend and they’re business partners (or something) on a new venture: LOHAN Nightclub. The nightclub is in Athens, Greece, and these are some photos from this weekend’s opening. Lindsay looked… well, not quite sober, but she looked relatively “together.” If we’re using Lohan Standards. Her makeup is horrible.

Would you like to know more about the club? According to TMZ, she came up with the idea herself, and her business/romantic partner is Dennis Papageorgiou. Dennis is one of the guys funding Lindsay’s lifestyle whenever she goes to Greece, and she’s spent a lot of time in Greece following her breakup with Egor over the summer. Lindsay was apparently very involved with how the club has been set up, and it not only includes a VIP area, but a VVIP area, which is probably just for Lindsay. In exchange for a generous backend deal, Lindsay will make 2 to 3 appearances a month at Club LOHAN.

TMZ also reports that once Club LOHAN Athens is a success, she wants to expand to other cities like “Istanbul, Hong Kong, London and NYC.” She and Papageorgiou also want to open a chain of spas. I’m honestly not trying to offend Greek folks, but a nightclub that “works” in Athens might not necessarily work in London or Hong Kong, you know? Club LOHAN is not about exclusivity, which is what many successful clubs need to attract A-list clientele. A-list clientele won’t want to hang out at a Club LOHAN.

There’s also another story about how Lindsay worked on this and how she’s so “serious” about it being successful that she “pulled an all-nighter” at the opening night – she arrived at 10 pm and stayed until 5 am. So… she pulled a 7-hour shift at a nightclub? So difficult. Here’s my question: how quickly will Lindsay lose interest in this and simply stop showing up? And how quickly will Mr. Papageorgiou lose a substantial amount of money? Lindsay Lohan is the very definitely of throwing away good money after bad.

PS… I was going to say something about how you can tell Lindsay is taking it seriously because she’s not blowing cracked-out kissy-faces, but then I saw the cracked-out kissy-face photos.
