Katy Perry’s boyfriend Diplo throws major shade at Taylor Swift’s flat butt
Quick recap: in Taylor Swift’s Rolling Stone interview a few months back, she offered up a delicious blind item about a Mean Girl pop star who was trying to destroy our poor Swifty’s gentle soul. The identity of said Mean Girl ended up being Katy Perry – Katy outed herself – and many people think the situation was the result of a couple of factors, like Swifty and Katy both dating John Mayer, and how professional dancers liked Katy more than Swifty.
Well, Katy Perry is still with a DJ named “Diplo”. I tend to think this guy is pretty shady, but whatever. Diplo decided to defend his lady on Twitter yesterday (and yes, his new Twitter handle is BABY DADDY).
Katy Perry’s boyfriend Diplo is getting in on the feud between Perry and Taylor Swift. The DJ tweeted on Wednesday, Nov. 12, “Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty.”
Diplo, who has been romantically linked to Swift’s nemesis Perry since April 2014, then retweeted followers tweets which read, “@diplo I started a petition on to include it on the federal budget,” and “@sierrafairytale @diplo Help Me In Supporting ‘Get Taylor Swift A Booty’ on #fundly,” along with a link to a crowdfunded site.
After one tweeter wrote, “@diplo someone should make you a kickstarter bc no one knows who the f–k you are,” the music producer wrote: “body shaming myself right now…are taylor swift fans called the swift boat veterans?” and continued to retweet the fundly link. On the site, which had raised $45 in under an hour, the campaign owner (and apparent Diplo fan) wrote: “Taylor Swift Still Needs Your Help! Any true supporter of TSWIFT would definitely not pass up this opportunity to improve her posterior! Spread The Word If You Believe In Magic!”
I’m including one of the tweets below. Do you think this is funny? I do not. And I’m the same person rolling my eyes whenever Swifty complains about how it’s “sexist” to call her out for her BS. But this IS sexist. So Swifty doesn’t have much of a booty. Who cares? And why is Diplo body-shaming his girlfriend’s nemesis? How trashy is this whole thing?
